Who is responsible
This website and the Horcare coordination service are operated by Horcare Medical Care (Hefei) Co., Ltd., Room 2008, Tower A, Ganghui Plaza, 218 Wangjiang West Road, Shushan District, Hefei, Anhui, China. In this policy, "Horcare", "we" and "us" refer to that operator.
What information we collect
- Information you give us in the case review form: your name, email address, WhatsApp number (optional), country of residence, your relationship to the patient, the condition or diagnosis, the treatment and city you are interested in, planned travel time, whether you have medical reports, and your message.
- Medical reports you choose to send later by email or messaging, such as diagnoses, imaging reports and pathology results.
- Technical information: when you submit a form, the server records your IP address, the approximate country derived from it, and the page you submitted from, to protect against spam and abuse.
The form does not ask for passport details or full medical records. Please only send the information needed to review the case.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, carry out the free case review, match the case to suitable hospitals and departments, coordinate appointments, travel and interpretation if you decide to proceed, and follow up after treatment. We use health information only for these purposes and with your consent. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use health information for advertising.
Sharing with hospitals and others
Medical records are shared with a hospital only after you agree, and only with the hospitals and departments relevant to the case. We may also share necessary details with medical translators and interpreters, and with travel or accommodation providers you ask us to book, under a duty of confidentiality. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
Because the service connects patients abroad with hospitals in China, your information will be transferred to and processed in China and possibly in other countries. Where the law requires it, we take steps such as obtaining your consent and using appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a patient, to coordinate care and follow-up, plus any period required by law. If you do not proceed, you can ask us to delete your inquiry and any reports at any time.
Security
Inquiries are stored in a restricted administration system with access limited to the coordination team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending more information than is needed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To use these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority in your country.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies that are needed for it to work. If analytics are enabled, they are used to understand how the site is used, and a cookie notice lets you make a choice. Spam protection on the form may use a third-party verification service.
Children
When the patient is a child, a parent or legal guardian should submit the inquiry and give any consent on the child's behalf.
